The rule. One contact hour is one PDH (professional development hour). Ten contact hours are one CEU (continuing education unit). A 30-hour course gives 30 PDHs = 3.0 CEUs. Credits are written when a certificate is issued and reversed if it is revoked.
IACET and ASME programs. ASME Training & Development is accredited by IACET and issues IACET CEUs for ASME authorized programs. Those CEUs are awarded by ASME on the ASME certificate; this ledger records them. For MALYOMAR programs the ledger records contact hours as PDHs, and the CEU figure is a calculated equivalent, not an IACET CEU.
