Who MALYOMAR looks for

Teaching experience helps, but it is not the first thing we check. We start with what you have done as an engineer.

Practising engineers

You work, or have recently worked, in design, stress analysis, integrity, construction, operations or engineering management in the process, energy or pipeline industries.

Command of a standard

You apply a code or method in daily work, for example ASME B31, ASME BPVC Section VIII, API 579 or the SAVE value methodology, and can explain why a rule exists.

Cases from real work

You can bring worked examples, failures and design trade-offs from projects, with client details removed, so learners practise decisions and not only clauses.

Able to teach live

You are comfortable leading a virtual classroom or a room of engineers for several days, in English or Arabic, and answering questions you did not prepare for.

Disciplines we teach

Two kinds of program, two routes to teaching

MALYOMAR decides who teaches MALYOMAR programs. For ASME authorized programs the decision belongs to ASME.

MALYOMAR programs

ML501

Courses MALYOMAR writes from industrial practice: plant layout, pipe stress, lead engineering, value engineering, energy.

  • MALYOMAR reviews your experience and approves you for specific courses.
  • You teach from the MALYOMAR course material and may propose additions from your own work.
  • You can also propose a new course. If accepted, MALYOMAR is the course author and you are named as the instructor.
  • MALYOMAR issues the certificate of completion.

ASME authorized programs

PD643

Courses written and owned by ASME Learning & Development, delivered by MALYOMAR as an ASME Authorized Training Provider.

  • ASME approves each instructor. MALYOMAR cannot authorize an instructor on ASME's behalf.
  • MALYOMAR nominates candidates to ASME and passes on the documents ASME asks for.
  • ASME sets the requirements, the review and the timeline. We share the current requirements with you before you decide to proceed.
  • Until ASME confirms approval, you are not scheduled on, or advertised for, an ASME program.
Being approved for MALYOMAR programs does not make you an ASME authorized instructor. The two statuses are recorded separately on your profile.

How the application works

Five steps for MALYOMAR programs. The ASME nomination is an additional step that starts only after step four.

  1. ApplySend the form below with your CV and the courses you could teach.
  2. Technical reviewA senior instructor in your discipline reviews your experience and talks with you.
  3. Teaching sampleYou teach a short topic of your choice to a small MALYOMAR panel.
  4. AgreementWe agree courses, formats, availability and fees, and create your instructor account.
  5. First sessionYou deliver your first batch with support from the operations team.
ASME programs only. After the agreement, MALYOMAR can nominate you to ASME. ASME reviews the nomination and decides. If ASME approves, the ASME authorized marker is added to your profile and you become available for ASME programs.
After you are approved. You work from the instructor portal: your sessions, rosters and attendance, course materials, availability and payouts are in one place. See the instructor portal
